What Is It Like to See Bella Kay Live?
A 20-year-old TikTok breakout who sings from a living-room set with a couch, a disco ball and a stuffed dinosaur named Ryder, while a sold-out club sings "The Sick" back at her like a 1,200-person choir.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1When you hear Drake, it's starting.
A snippet of "Hotline Bling" is her running walk-on joke, so the first bars over the PA mean she's about to walk out.
- 2Know "The Sick" cold.
It's the loudest singalong of the night and it comes late in the set. At the [9:30 Club](/venues/9-30-club) she set it up by asking who had been stuck thinking about someone they couldn't let go of.
- 3Don't leave when it sounds like the end.
In [Toronto](/cities/toronto) she faked an outro after "Blur," then shouted to the room that the night wasn't over and played "iloveitiloveitiloveit." In [Los Angeles](/cities/los-angeles) the crowd chanted that song title to bring her back for the encore.
- 4The barricade is where it happens.
There's no catwalk or B-stage. She walks the full width of the stage and leans over the rail to hold hands and sing to individual fans.
- 5Hailey Picardi opens.
She plays a short, confessional set from her EP *scars to prove it*, and the [Chicago](/cities/chicago) crowd sang along loud enough to drown her out at points. When Picardi lost her voice after night one, 9:30 Club box office staffer Brassie stepped in with an acoustic guitar.
- 6Bring tissues for the slow stretch.
People cried through "i deserve better." at [Brooklyn Steel](/venues/brooklyn-steel), and the room stays respectfully quiet for the ballads.
- 7The small-room version is ending.
She opens UK and Ireland arenas for [Noah Kahan](/artists/noah-kahan) in November 2026, and Parklife DC already called the 9:30 Club date possibly one of her last intimate rooms.

What It's Actually Like
"The Sick" turns the room into a choir
Most people in the room found her through "The Sick," the August 2025 ballad that went viral on TikTok. At the 9:30 Club in September 2026, Parklife DC described the sold-out crowd singing it like "a 1,200-person choir." At El Rey in Los Angeles a month later, Local Wolves said it drew the biggest reaction of the night, with fans shouting every line back at her. She doesn't race into it, either. In DC she introduced it by asking the room whether anyone had been in a relationship where they couldn't stop thinking about the other person.
She comes to you
There's no runway and no second stage, so she closes the gap herself. At the 9:30 Club she walked the full length of the stage and leaned over the barricade to sing with the front row. At El Rey she reached down to hold fans' hands and sang to people one at a time. At Thalia Hall in Chicago, Music Defined watched her circle the couch and drift out toward the crowd, "always managing to find her light." She told Dork in May 2026 that she wants her shows "laid back," the opposite of the big pop spectacles she loves watching, with the feeling of "We're doing this together." If you want eye contact and a hand squeeze, the rail is the place.
“Her perfectly smooth vocals had us hooked from the beginning.”
There's always a cover, and it changes by era
Every full headline setlist on setlist.fm in 2026 carries at least one cover, and the pick tells you which era you're seeing. Spring 2026 was Drake's "Hotline Bling" (her most-played cover, 9 times), which she introduced in Montreal as a song her mom used to sing with her. The May 2026 dates in Amsterdam and Dublin added Rihanna and Mikky Ekko's "Stay." The fall 2026 tour swaps in Lizzy McAlpine's "ceilings," seventh in the set. At Brooklyn Steel in September, The Record Online said it caught fans off guard, and Parklife DC called it the moment her voice really showed.
The voice holds up, and the band is tiny
Reviewers land on the vocals more than anything else. The Hoya, catching her opening set for Maisie Peters at the 9:30 Club in April 2026, heard a "powerful voice" even while calling the set not yet distinctive. Parklife DC, in the same room five months later, singled out her range from the very first song. The band is just a guitarist on one side and a drummer on the other, and on the spring support run it was only Bella and the guitarist. At The Opera House in Toronto, she sat on the couch next to him while he played and she sang.
The birthday stop
She'll halt the show for one person. setlist.fm logs "Happy Birthday" in the middle of her May 2026 set at The Academy in Dublin, and at El Rey on 5 October 2026 she stopped so the whole room could sing to a fan in the crowd. It isn't announced and it isn't on a schedule. Somebody near the front makes it known, and the set pauses.
It feels like catching her right before the jump
The emotional flavor here is specific: a sold-out room of people who found her on their phones, realizing she's about to outgrow the building. One fan at Brooklyn Steel told The Record Online, "she's genuinely such an icon, and I feel like she's going to blow up," and another said her favorite moment was "probably the last song when the energy went up." At Thalia Hall some fans screamed and cried the moment she walked out. An attendee TikTok caption sums up the first-timer surprise: she'd heard "iloveitiloveitiloveit" all over the app and "had no idea i was about to see it live and it was beautiful."
The Reckless Tour (2026-2027)
Her second North American headline run, built around the July 2026 debut album My Reckless Abandon, played 1,000 to 1,200-capacity clubs and theaters from the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on 8 September through two nights at El Rey on 5 and 6 October, with most dates sold out. It wrapped with festival sets at Yours Always in Salt Lake City and Austin City Limits on 9 October. The tour picks back up in February 2027 across the UK and Europe in bigger rooms, including the Eventim Apollo on 17 February.
A living room, not a light show
The stage is dressed like a bedroom someone actually lives in. At the 9:30 Club it was carpeted, with a couch, a stool, stacks of books and her stuffed dinosaur, Ryder. Thalia Hall got a salon-style couch, a disco ball, posters on the back wall, a fuzzy ottoman and big fluorescent tubes overhead. BeatRoute described a "cozy-looking pink couch that she danced around and got comfortable on," with "no huge production or elaborate choreography needed," and Local Wolves said El Rey "felt less like a theater and more like an intimate living room show." If you want pyro and choreography, this isn't that tour.
The set, front to back
The order barely moved between DC, Brooklyn Steel and Toronto: "Say it Say," "mindf*ck," "i deserve better.," "Promise?," "Stop," "Steady," "ceilings," "swu," "wonder wander," "tongue," "karaoke," "God Knows," "The Sick," "marrow," "Blur," "iloveitiloveitiloveit." The first five are the uptempo run, and at Thalia Hall the floor shook from people bouncing through "Say it Say." Then it slows down. "Blur" opens the album but sits 15th live, and Music Defined called it "a sure fire party-starter." At El Rey on 5 October she also debuted an unreleased song, "like a god," late in the set, and the room went silent.
How it ends
"iloveitiloveitiloveit" is the finish every night, and it's the loud, chaotic one. In DC it closed the main set as what Parklife DC called a joyful anthem. In Toronto she teased an outro after "Blur," then shouted her line to tell everyone it wasn't over. At El Rey, fans chanted the song title until she came back for a single encore, and she tossed bouquets into the crowd at the end. She also told the Toronto room that The Opera House was the first venue she'd ever performed in, which made that night feel like a homecoming.
Who's in the room and who opens
At Brooklyn Steel, The Record Online found a mostly female crowd aged roughly 16 to 30, with parents along for the youngest fans, people queuing hours ahead for a spot at the front, and a room that went respectfully quiet for the slow songs. Hailey Picardi opened the non-festival dates. She lost her voice after the opening night in Atlanta, so Brassie (who works the 9:30 Club box office) covered DC with an eight-song acoustic set that closed on a Raye cover. Picardi was back by Chicago, where the crowd sang over her, and at El Rey she talked openly about her own struggles before "losing u." At Thalia Hall roughly 20 minutes passed between sets, with pop playing over the PA.
What wraps around it
The Reckless Tour is bracketed by the biggest stages she's played. In November 2026 she supports Noah Kahan on the UK and Ireland arena leg of his The Great Divide tour, which she told Dork she's "nervous about" and "really excited" for. In March 2027 she opens four arena nights for Gracie Abrams in Washington, DC and Montreal. Context for the size of it: "The Sick" has passed 210 million streams and 2.6 billion TikTok views, and "iloveitiloveitiloveit" has passed 445 million streams (Atlantic Records, July 2026).

Merch
Hard merch intel hasn't surfaced yet. No price list, tour-exclusive item or fan verdict on quality turned up in any review or interview of the 2026 shows. The only exclusive items documented were tied to the album launch: My Reckless Abandon pre-orders came bundled with exclusive merch and physical CDs in July 2026. At Brooklyn Steel, The Record Online saw fans shopping the table while they waited for doors, before Picardi went on.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's an intimate, sold-out club show where a young, mostly female crowd sings louder than you'd think a 1,200-capacity room could. She works the barricade herself, plays one cover, and ends on "iloveitiloveitiloveit." The vocals are the part reviewers rave about, with BeatRoute calling them "perfectly smooth."
Her headline set on The Reckless Tour is 16 songs. No review has published a measured run time yet, so plan around an opening set plus a roughly 20-minute changeover before she comes on.
No late starts have been documented. Brooklyn Steel listed doors at 7 PM and the show at 8 PM, and at Thalia Hall about 20 minutes passed between the two sets.
Yes, and the reviews have gotten warmer as she's headlined. Parklife DC praised her range from the first song, and even The Hoya's lukewarm spring review of her opening slot called it a "powerful voice."
If you know the songs from TikTok, yes, and soon. Right now you can still see her in a room small enough for her to hold hands with the front row, and the 2027 headline rooms are already a size up.
"The Sick" and "iloveitiloveitiloveit" are the two everyone came for, and they're her most-played songs on setlist.fm (17 and 18 plays), with "Steady" (15) right behind. "Blur" is the late-set party song.
The fall 2026 shows run 16 songs on a living-room set, where the spring 2026 headline dates ran 12 songs. Album tracks like "Say it Say," "Blur" and "mindf*ck" replaced early songs like "ur new girlfriend" and "Lonely."
She has on this tour, once on record. At El Rey in Los Angeles on 5 October 2026 she debuted "like a god" late in the set, and Local Wolves reported the room went completely silent to listen.
