What Is It Like to See Knox Live?
2000s pop-punk played like it's still 2006, in a room where everyone already knows the album that came out last week. Bring a sign. He might play what's on it, half-remembered, on an acoustic.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1Opener
Emi Grace opens every North American date except Chicago, where Southcourt has the slot. Modernlove opens all the UK and Europe shows in February 2027. No support is listed for the three Australian dates.
- 2Make a sign
At the sold-out Chicago show in April 2025 a fan's poster with three song options went to a cheer vote and he played the winner. It's happened once on record (details in Fan Culture), so treat it as a shot worth taking, not a guarantee.
- 3
**Learn *My Midwest Best* before doors:** The album lands October 2 and the tour starts October 9. Two weeks after his last album dropped, the Chicago room sang every word of the new songs back at him, and he noticed.
- 4He'll insult his own accent
Expect a bit about how your city hates his Tennessee accent. It ran in Chicago and Boston in 2025 and his tour account turned it into a caption. Play along.
- 5Don't leave early
The band gets a spotlight introduction before the last song and he thanks his tour manager and crew by name. That's part of the ending, not filler before it.
- 6Phones will be up
This is a full-set-filming crowd. One fan account posts "every full set i can get my hands on," so don't expect a phones-down room.

What It's Actually Like
The Set Never Moves. Except for the Part You Control.
Knox runs the same show every night. On the 2025 Going Going Gone tour "Going, Going, Gone" opened all 16 shows that setlist.fm could average and the running order barely twitched from city to city. Song four is always "Dumpster Fire" sliding into the "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" chorus. The one pocket that breathes is an acoustic stretch about two-thirds in: at Webster Hall on April 15, 2025 it was "Invisible" with ROSIE and "Miss When You Missed Me" with Jonathan Capeci of Nightly, in Charlotte it was "Invisible" and "Leg Day," and in Chicago it was a crowd vote (see Fan Culture). "Voicemail" acoustic is the fan favorite of that stretch, which still surprises him; he's said he doubted the song until rooms started singing it back.
"Not the 1975" Is the Ending, Every Single Night
There's no encore. setlist.fm records zero across every tour he's played, and "Not the 1975" has closed the show at all 49 analyzed 2024 dates and 15 of 16 averaged 2025 dates (the one exception ended on "Sneakers"). In Chicago on April 19, 2025 he did the fake exit while the room chanted, then came back for the closing run. The song's whole joke is that a woman in an LA bar told him "You will never be Matty Healy," so he wrote a hit made of puns on The 1975, and Healy later messaged him, "Congrats on the song. You owe me a million dollars." On the September 2025 European run he leaned into it further and covered The 1975's "Robbers" at three of the eight shows.
“When there's real drums, and then when the drop comes in and seeing the crowd like that, that one, it just hits different for me.”
He Talks Smack About His Own Accent
The between-song talking is a feature, and it's mostly at his own expense. In Chicago he told the sold-out House of Blues it was one of his favorite cities, admitted his label had been skeptical about certain album tracks and asked the room to prove the doubters wrong, then joked about Chicago's dislike of Tennessee accents (Good Guys Press). Boston got the same accent bit; his tour account captioned the clip "Boston hates Tennessee accents (confirmed?)." He also pits rooms against each other on volume, which has its own card in Fan Culture. He wore a Bulls jersey for the Chicago show, which tells you how much of the banter is local.
Roadrunner Energy and a Band He Won't Stop Thanking
Hunnypot's review of the Echoplex in Los Angeles on April 16, 2024 described him moving with a "roadrunner" quality, his "movements matching the lyrics," while "the audience jumped with hands in the air" during "Man Down." Christian Delzoppo on drums and John Townsend on guitar are the constants, and Knox's Nashville hometown review noted that "one of the most prevalent parts of Knox's personality, both onstage and off, is his constant show of love to his bandmates." That's why the spotlight band introduction before the last song exists. A fan who caught him opening on the Band CAMINO Taking Shape tour put it more simply on TikTok: "him and his band KILLED it."
They Know the New Album Before He Plays It
His crowds do their homework. Going, Going, Gone came out April 4, 2025; by the Chicago show two weeks later "fans came prepared, knowing every word to newly released album tracks" (Good Guys Press). At the Echoplex a year earlier the room "knew every song by heart," and at his sold-out Exit/In hometown show his family sang every word from the balcony while the floor carried the acoustic segments. On the fall 2025 leg a Cleveland clip from Beachland Ballroom is just an "Acoustic sing-a-long with @Knox" on "Invisible," his voice underneath a room full of others. Even with sold-out rooms he told The Honey POP in July 2026, "I hope people show up. I hope they actually come," and that hearing the lyrics sung back "never gets old."
Midwest Best Live On Tour (2026-2027)
Thirty-three dates across three continents: 21 in North America from October 9 to November 7, 2026, nine in the UK and Europe in February 2027, and three in Australia in March 2027. His caption on the announcement: "MY FIRST EVER WORLD TOUR?!?!? Bringing My Midwest Best to the biggest venues I've ever headlined."
The Rooms Got Bigger
The North American leg opens in Boston on October 9 and runs through Philadelphia, the 9:30 Club in DC, Brooklyn Bowl, House of Blues Chicago, the Ogden in Denver, the Fonda in Los Angeles and Emo's in Austin before a home-market closer at Marathon Music Works in Nashville on November 7. Those are 1,000 to 2,500-cap rooms, a full step up from the 300 to 1,700-cap run he did in 2025.
Emi Grace, Southcourt and Modernlove
Emi Grace is on every North American date except Chicago, where Southcourt (who also supported his fall 2025 shows) takes the slot. Modernlove opens the whole UK and Europe run: Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, Melkweg in Amsterdam, then Cologne, Berlin and Munich. The Australian shows at the Corner Hotel, the Factory Theatre and Crowbar list no support.
What He Says He's Building
Take this as intent, because the tour hadn't started when this guide was written. He told The Honey POP he wants to "make it a concert experience" instead of "playing songs with talking in between," that he's restructuring songs with the live show in mind, and that the bar is an arena show he saw that "blew me away; they were unbelievable." He also spent summer 2026 doing backyard shows around Nashville in the All-American Rejects house-show mold and wants to bring that format to "some Midwest cities." Fan clips tagged "FIRST @Knox SHOW OF THE MY MIDWEST BEST ERA" show "Go For Broke" already landing live before the tour proper.
How the Going Going Gone Shows Ran
Until the new production reveals itself, the 2025 headline shows are your template, and the shape of that show is covered above in What It's Actually Like. That tour sold out House of Blues Chicago and Webster Hall in the spring, went to Europe for the first time in September (his official bio calls the Electric Ballroom in London, 1,700 people, his largest sold-out show to date), and came back for a six-date Midwest "Pt 2" in November. The fan verdict from the tour account's Boston night: "Is it too soon to call it the tour of the year?"

What's Exclusive
The official Warner Music webstore is built around the album rather than city variants: a signed opaque-green My Midwest Best vinyl and a "Pure Denim" vinyl variant, a signed Going, Going, Gone vinyl, My Midwest Best playing cards and a bandana, a "Going Going Gone 2 in 1" long-sleeve, a cartoon "Super Knox" tee, a "Two Broken Hearts" tee and a "Monumental Mess" trucker hat. The hoodie and the signed CD were already sold out online in September 2026. No tour-exclusive or city-specific venue items have been documented by fans, and the 2025 record-store stops paired an acoustic set with a vinyl signing rather than a special drop.

Frequently Asked Questions
A tight pop-punk set that runs the same way every night: "Going, Going, Gone" to open, the "Dumpster Fire" / "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" mashup at song four, an acoustic pocket where the surprises live, a fake exit, and "Not the 1975" to close with no encore. It's a band show, not a track show, with Christian Delzoppo's drums and John Townsend's guitar carrying it start to finish.
1h 10m to 1h 20m for a headline set, with 18 to 21 songs. Attendee timings on setlist.fm put the 9:30 Club in DC at 1h 10m, Webster Hall and Houston at 1h 15m, and Atlanta and Glasgow at 1h 20m during 2025. His support sets in 2024 ran 35 to 45 minutes.
No. With 7 PM doors and one opener he's walked on between 9:05 and 9:22 PM at every timed 2024 and 2025 show (Houston, New York, Atlanta, his Nashville hometown date), and 8:20 PM in Glasgow with the same doors. There's no history of late starts and no fan complaints about them.
Mostly the records, front to back. A 2025 headline set carried 11 songs from *Going, Going, Gone* plus the EP staples, and the Europe run added a "Robbers" cover by The 1975. The deep-cut territory is the acoustic slot, where "Invisible," "Leg Day," "Voicemail" and a live debut of the "All American Tragedy" chorus have all turned up.
Yes if you want a 2000s pop-punk band show fronted by someone who spends as much energy on the crowd as on the songs. Bandsintown reviewer Miranda in San Diego (May 2025): "Great show and the guy had a great stage personality. Very engaging with the crowd!!" Hanna in DC (February 2024): "His energy on stage is top tier and he's one of the nicest artists I've met." Skip it if you need setlist variety; the show is the same show every night by design.
"Not the 1975," because the whole room has waited all night for it and it's the last thing you'll hear. "Man Down" for the jump (hands in the air at the Echoplex, "THANK YOU @Knox FOR KEEPING THIS BANGER ON THE SETLIST" at the 9:30 Club). "I'm So Good at Being Alone" is the one he says hits different for him, and "Voicemail" acoustic is the fan favorite that surprised him.
Scale and ambition, not the core. The 2025 rooms topped out at 1,700 in London; the 2026 routing is 1,000 to 2,500-cap theaters plus his first UK, Europe and Australia headline dates as a world tour. He's promised a more built-out "concert experience" with restructured songs, but until the Boston opener proves it, expect the 2025 shape with a new album on top.
Only for the acoustic slot. The main set is fixed, "Not the 1975" closes every night, and there's no encore to chase. What changes is the acoustic pocket (guests at Webster Hall, "Leg Day" in Charlotte, a live debut of the "All American Tragedy" chorus in Chicago) and the local banter. Fans who go twice do it for the room, not the setlist.
