What Is It Like to See Three Days Grace Live?

Alienation World Tour 2026

Gontier and Walst trading lines on one chorus, a fake campfire where the whole arena goes quiet for a 3 Doors Down cover, then "Never Too Late" under a sea of phone lights and a pit that doesn't stop.

What to Know Before You Go

  • 1
Openers on the fall 2026 leg

[I Prevail](/artists/i-prevail) and The Funeral Portrait play every US date. I Prevail bring their own pyro, and the floor is already surfing by the time the headliner's third song hits.

  • 2
There are two lead singers now.

Adam Gontier is back after 12 years away and Matt Walst never left, so the old One-X songs and the Walst-era songs both get sung by someone who recorded them.

  • 3
    Don't leave after "Painkiller."

The last two songs are the two biggest singalongs of the night. Details in [What It's Actually Like](#what-its-actually-like).

  • 4
Phone light up for "Never Too Late."

In Lodz in 2025 Gontier asked for flashlights, and in Utah he stepped back and let the room sing it.

  • 5
    Learn "Dominate."

It opened every logged 2026 show, and newer songs like "Mayday," "Apologies" and "Kill Me Fast" sit right next to "Pain" and "Animal I Have Become."

  • 6
    The pit is real.

If you want the rail, expect crowd surfers coming over it all night. More in [Fan Culture](#fan-culture-and-traditions).

  • 7
    There's a quiet break.

Stools and an acoustic guitar come out mid-show and the chaos stops for a few songs. See [The Campfire Set](#the-campfire-set).

  • 8
    Expect a speech about 2013.

Gontier has talked from the stage about leaving the band and thanked the others for carrying on without him. In Lodz the crowd booed the leaving part, then cheered the thanks.

  • 9
    Merch is online too.

The full 2026 tour line is on the band's web store, so skip the line unless you want a small accessory. See [Merch](#merch).

What It's Actually Like

Two Singers, One Chorus

The thing you came to see is two frontmen who used to be each other's replacement. Gontier sang lead from the start until December 2012; Walst, bassist Brad Walst's younger brother, took over in 2013 and carried the band for 12 years. Now they share the stage, and they don't split the night into "his songs" and "my songs." At Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario, on July 19, 2026, the reviewer watched them trade lyrics back and forth and called it "nothing short of a vocal powerhouse" (Music Life Magazine). At Atlas Arena in Lodz in November 2025, "So Called Life" was the song that proved the blend (Atlas Arena). Walst still takes the songs he cut first: in Lodz he introduced "Painkiller" with "This is the first song I recorded with the guys."

The Arena Sits Down for an Acoustic Break

Every tour of the last decade has a stretch where the loud rock show stops. Stools come out, Neil Sanderson moves to keys, Barry Stock picks up an acoustic guitar. At MTelus in 2018 that meant "Love Me or Leave Me" and "Get Out Alive," and fans in the pit put their arms around each other and held up lighters (MontrealRocks.ca). On the 2022 Explosions Tour at the Oakdale Dome in Wallingford, Connecticut, Walst and Sanderson duetted on "The High Road" and "World So Cold" (MyAmpMusic). In late 2025 Gontier did it alone with an acoustic "Creep." The pit didn't care. In Glasgow a fan in a full banana costume got crowd-surfed through the whole song (Out of Rage).

“It's such a breath of fresh air to see Adam back in the band with the way they're going about it now.”
— Brandon, Bandsintown review, Louisville, March 2025

The Last Ten Minutes Never Change

"Riot" closed all 55 analyzed 2026 shows, all 76 in 2025 and all 107 in 2019, and "Never Too Late" sits directly in front of it (setlist.fm). Don't count on an encore break either: 50 of those 55 shows in 2026 had none. It wasn't always this way. On the 2007 One-X run "I Hate Everything About You" closed the night, and in 2010 it was "Animal I Have Become" (setlist.fm). "Never Too Late" is the emotional one. At a Breaking Benjamin co-bill in Utah on September 27, 2025, X96's Caity described "not quiet tears, but real, shaking sobs," and a stranger hugged her when it ended. "Riot" is the release. At Orillia the crowd jumped and screamed through it, and Walst's young son came out and stood with the band (Music Life Magazine).

Gontier Talks About Leaving

This is a reunion show and the band doesn't pretend otherwise. In Lodz, Gontier gave a short history of the band before "The Mountain" and thanked Walst for holding the job while he was gone; the crowd booed the part about him leaving, then cheered the thank-you (Atlas Arena). In Glasgow in December 2025 he talked about walking away in 2013 and thanked the other four for carrying on (Out of Rage). In Lodz he introduced "Don't Wanna Go Home Tonight" as "a song about our youth" (Atlas Arena), and on the 2026 tour the screens behind it run old photos and early touring footage (Park Life DC). At Orillia his brother Kyle came onstage for that song.

A Cover Every Tour

The covers change every run, and they're never filler. In February 2013 the encore at the Glens Falls Civic Center opened with Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" (NYS Music). In 2018, Walst explained that the band heard Phantogram's "You Don't Get Me High Anymore" on the radio and rushed into the studio to make a "Three Days Grace version" (MontrealRocks.ca). The 2025 European run had "Creep." In 2026 it's 3 Doors Down's "Here Without You," sung under a single spotlight while the arena stays dead quiet (Park Life DC), and The Knack's "My Sharona" turned up at Orillia.

Alienation World Tour (2026)

62 announced dates, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, on February 21 to a November 22 finale in California, promoted by Live Nation. US arenas in February and March, Canadian arenas in April and May with Royal Tusk and Finger Eleven, European festivals and halls in June, Canadian summer festivals in July, and a fall US arena leg from Biloxi on October 23 (Live Nation; Blabbermouth). setlist.fm has 57 shows logged so far. It's the tour behind Alienation, the 2025 album where Gontier and Walst both sing, which Loudwire named its best rock album of 2025 (threedaysgrace.com).

The Campfire Set

The 2026 acoustic break comes with a set. The screens switch to a night sky over a treeline, a fake campfire glows at the front, and the band sits on stools around it (The Black Planet). At Fort Wayne they played "Wake Up," "Lifetime" and "Get Out Alive." At Orillia it was "Lost in You," "Chalk Outline," "Pornstar Dancing" from Walst's old band My Darkest Days, "My Sharona" and "Lifetime," with a photo montage of the members as kids and the band laughing about their campfire days in Norwood, Ontario (Music Life Magazine). Park Life DC said it made CFG Bank Arena feel "unexpectedly close and intimate," right up until full production crashed back in for "I Am Machine."

Who's Opening the Fall Leg

I Prevail and The Funeral Portrait are on every date from Biloxi to the finale (Live Nation). At Grand Rapids, The Funeral Portrait opened with a dramatic cover of Tears for Fears' "Mad World" (Local Spins). At Fort Wayne their singer Lee Jennings took a fan's sign reading "You gave me the courage to stay weird," held it up for the arena, and later hung around the merch table for selfies (The Black Planet). I Prevail play their set with fire, and at their Michigan homecoming in Grand Rapids Eric Vanlerberghe shouted "We're home baby!" (Local Spins). Sleep Theory joined a handful of spring dates.

"Dominate" Opens Every Night

The new album gets the first word: "Dominate" opened all 55 analyzed 2026 shows (setlist.fm). In between, the 2026 average leans on the One-X and Walst eras in roughly equal measure: "Animal I Have Become," "Pain," "Time of Dying" and "Never Too Late" alongside "The Mountain," "I Am Machine" and "Painkiller," with Alienation songs "Kill Me Fast," "Apologies," "Mayday" and "Don't Wanna Go Home Tonight." "World So Cold" swapped in for "Time of Dying" at Rockin' Thunder in Edmonton in July (setlist.fm).

Watch From Home on November 1

The Nashville show at Bridgestone Arena is being streamed live on Veeps on Sunday, November 1, at 7pm Pacific (threedaysgrace.com), so if you can't get to a date, that's the way to see this production.

What's Exclusive

The 2026 tour line is a 2026 Alienation Tour T-Shirt, a gray version, a 2026 Album Stripe Tour T-Shirt, a One-X 2026 Tour T-Shirt for that album's 20th anniversary, a tour long sleeve, a camo tour hoodie and a monochrome tour poster (threedaysgrace.store). The bigger pieces are an Alienation jersey, vest and denim jacket. Older tour gear (the Alienation 2025 Tour Hoodie, an Explosions Tour zip hoodie, a Mayday Tour Tee) is still listed on the band's Merch Traffic store. A 2025 tour-dates tee was being resold on eBay for $100 by a seller who says they "stood in line" for it.

The Strategy

The dated 2026 tour shirts, the long sleeve, the camo hoodie and the poster were all listed in stock online in October 2026, so apparel isn't a reason to queue. The small stuff is what disappears: the snapback, the large Yeti tumbler, the patch set and the wristband were all sold out online (threedaysgrace.store; Merch Traffic). If you want one of those, the venue table is your only shot.

Three Days Grace · merch

Is the merch at a Three Days Grace show worth queueing for?

Not what it costs. The price card answers that. This is whether the queue is optional, which has different inputs.

Can you get it later?
