What Is It Like to See Ninajirachi Live?

I Love My Computer and It Loves Me Tour 2026-2027

One woman, one laptop and a wall of Windows XP pop-ups, PlayStation 2 cats and CAPTCHA screens, turning a theatre into a Y2K rave that opens on "London Song" rewritten for your city and ends with a pit on "Fuck My Computer".

What to Know Before You Go

  • 1
It's a DJ show with no dead air.

She plays from CDJs and a laptop, and the songs run into each other from the first drop to the encore, with a few minutes of drones and glitch before she starts. Don't bail after "iPod Touch"; the encore is loose and can be a sample mash-up or a hit played again.

  • 2
Your city goes on the wall.

The opening line of "London Song" gets rewritten to wherever you are, and the city name shows up on the screen. Be on the floor for the first drop, not at the bar.

  • 3
    Dress like it's 2004.

iPod shuffles as hair clips, frog hats, anime hoodies, kandi to the elbow, light-up bunny hats, bright Y2K colours. This crowd commits, and you'll feel underdressed in a plain tee.

  • 4
    Join the Discord first.

The server at girledm.com has a thread for each tour city so fans can find each other before doors. People go to her shows with strangers they met there.

  • 5
    Pits happen.

"Fuck My Computer" and her dubstep "Berghain" remix are the pit songs. If you'd rather dance than mosh, stand off the centre of the floor; the Forum crowd got tense about the two camps colliding.

  • 6
Learn the few lyrics that exist.

The opening line of "iPod Touch", the chorus of "Fuck My Computer" and the "eh" chant on "All I Am" get screamed. The rest of the singing is people doing the synth lines with their mouths.

  • 7
    Strobe warning is real.

The visuals are constant flashing early-2000s desktop chaos, and a warning goes up on the screen before she walks out.

  • 8
    Opener

MGNA Crrrta on the North American run, with iKeda added for the January 2027 dates. Her openers are friends from the same scene and get pulled back on stage mid-set, so get in early.

  • 9
    Merch is online-first.

The vinyl and the plushie keychain sold out on the web store; tees restock there.

What It's Actually Like

A DJ Set With the Spine of an Album

You get drones and glitchy sound effects for a few minutes, the room fills with anticipation, and then "London Song" drops and doesn't stop until the encore. She's a DJ, in her own words ("my shows are parties, I'm a DJ"), and everything blends: at the Commodore Ballroom on 16 September 2026, Exclaim! described each song bleeding into the next, with a "Berghain" sample dropped into the middle. But the spine is fixed. setlist.fm logs from the Enmore Theatre, a UK club run and a US theatre leg all open on "London Song" and close the main set on "iPod Touch" and "Fuck My Computer", which Rolling Stone Australia called "an unbeatable one-two punch". What moves is the middle: an Alison Wonderland "Heaven" cover one night, an ISOxo "shypop" edit the next, a Sakurazaka46 remix, a Porter Robinson "Perfect Pinterest Garden" flip. She's said it plainly: the big songs stay, and "I'll just try different things each night based on the city or what people are responding to."

The Screen Is Half the Ticket

The first thing that hits you is the wall. It runs 2000s Windows graphics, lines of scrolling code that collapse into vortexes on the drop, Windows XP pop-up boxes carrying the lyrics, and PlayStation 2-era 3D cats wearing headphones. At a sold-out January 2026 club show in Southern California the UCSD student paper counted a CAPTCHA animation spelling "girledm", early-2000s anime, cell-tower imagery and blueprints of CSIRAC, Australia's first digital computer. Glowing tubes arc out of her gear, LED-lit cables hang across the stage, and at the Forum in July 2026 the whole thing opened with an explosion of sparklers. It's cued song by song by a touring VJ working from a folder for each track, which is why the visuals hit the beat instead of drifting behind it. Look up when the first line hits.

“With the shows, I hope I can throw a big party where everyone feels welcome and everyone can be really sweaty and exert a lot of energy, but also feel super happy and safe.”
— Ninajirachi, The FADER, February 2026

She Won't Stay Behind the Decks

She's not a hood-up DJ nodding at a laptop. At the Forum she danced across the stage, threw love-heart hand signs and kept abandoning the equipment to face the crowd before "frantically running back to the decks", per scenestr. In Toronto on 7 October 2025, in a roughly 200-cap basement, she did dramatic on-beat claps, "pick it up" hand motions on the closer, pointed at people at the back, handed out high-fives and took a trading card off a fan that she signed later. At the last date of the winter 2026 US run she yelled at the city to jump and the entire room did. The talking is short and genuine rather than a set speech: "my name is Ninajirachi, and this is my first time in your city!" at the UK club, and at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney a confession that she'd had her first live music experience in that very room, at a Porter Robinson show, and this was her "first hometown show since my life changed".

A Crowd That Sings the Synths

Expect Gen Z, all the way from the barricade "to the foyer bar", as Rolling Stone Australia put it at Enmore, and expect them to know music with almost no words. In Toronto the room sang the opening line of "iPod Touch" ("It sounds like I've got a song that nobody knows"), screamed the "Fuck My Computer" chorus, and then kept going, singing the beeps and boops as if they were lyrics until she was giggling behind the decks. They chanted "Nina, Nina, Nina!" where a normal crowd yells "aye", and they'd rehearsed the "eh" chant for "All I Am" before she even came out. The dynamics are real, too: during "CSIRAC" that room went nearly silent before the drop and then detonated, and "Delete" ended up the loudest song of the night. At the Forum, "Fuck My Computer" took that title.

The Floor Gets Feral

It moshes, to a laptop. Pits opened during "Fuck My Computer" in Southern California, during the "Berghain" remix at the Forum (Ramona Magazine called it "wonderful, messy"), and on command at the UK club, where The Mancunion described the room as "feral" and reaching "mass hysteria", with one fan holding a full laptop up to record on. The honest caveat comes from scenestr's Forum review: "a lack of physical awareness from many audience members" put "mindless moshers" and people who came to dance at odds. The Commodore Ballroom crowd, per Exclaim!, went "home sweating, knees aching, hearts racing". Wear something you can sweat through, and pick your spot on the floor with the pit songs in mind.

I Love My Computer and It Loves Me Tour (2026-2027)

Her second North American headline lap in a year, and the first booked into ballrooms and theatres: two nights at the Commodore Ballroom to open on 16 and 17 September 2026, Ogden Theatre and ReelWorks on back-to-back nights, two nights at Royale, two at Brooklyn Steel on 3 and 4 October, and a four-night stand at the Fonda Theatre in November. In between she detours to festivals (All Things Go, Portola, Corona Capital, Temper on New Year's Eve), and in the middle of it all she flies home to open four arena dates for Tame Impala across Australia in October. Twelve more dates were added for January 2027, from the Pacific Northwest to Igloofest in Quebec, including her first headline night at Terminal 5, a room where she'd played two 30-minute support sets for Oklou in May 2026. Presale ran through girledm.com/tour on 23 September; general sale opened 24 September 2026.

Night One at the Commodore

Exclaim!'s Julian Coyle Forst set the template for this run: decks arranged on a semicircular pedestal with glowing tubes arcing out of them, dual confetti cannons, strobing multicoloured spotlights, and the code-to-vortex, XP-pop-up, PS2-cat visual package running behind her. She sampled "Berghain", brought MGNA Crrrta back out for a collaboration, and finished with an encore he described as "a victory lap or a greatest hits medley".

What "WannaCry" Does to the Middle of the Set

The Porter Robinson collaboration became a nightly fixture the moment it existed. He walked onto her Sonora tent set at Coachella on 10 April 2026 to debut it, after his website had been reskinned as the WannaCry ransomware screen with a countdown that resolved exactly to her 7:10pm slot. Her intro, per The Needle Drop: "Coachella, can I play you a new song? I made it with one of my friends, and he's here to debut it with me today." setlist.fm then logged it at Project Glow in May and at Enmore in July, before its 29 July release, and at Capitol Hill Block Party after it. It sits mid-set, and at Enmore a G Jones remix of it opened the encore.

MGNA Crrrta Is Not a Warm-Up Act

The duo opens every night of the fall leg and gets pulled back on stage; iKeda joins for January. The pattern holds across her tours: daine sang "It's You" with her at Enmore, Izzy Camina came out for "Ninacamina" in Southern California, and Lucy Bedroque's Dark Crystal V opener drew its own review lines for its bass. Getting in at doors is part of the deal here, not a hedge.

The Rooms Are Different, the Set Isn't

A 1am club slot in Scotland in March 2026, a sold-out theatre in her hometown, a 3:40am festival slot in Spain that got 14 tracks: the arc barely changes between them, the length tracks the room. If you have a choice, the headline theatre date is the full version, and the Tame Impala arena support will be the short one.

Merch

What's Exclusive

The album merch is the white-and-blue I Love My Computer design you'll see all over the floor. Two online-only drops have sold out and stayed sold out: the I Love My Computer vinyl in black-and-white and blue-and-white variants, and a 4-inch Ninajirachi plushie keychain. The "i❤️edm" tee got what she called its last restock in March 2025, bundled with a special-edition girl EDM CD pre-order. Custom furry paws have turned up as merch. Watch for bootlegs: print-on-demand "Dark Crystal V tour" tees circulate online, and the official stores are Sound Merch (Australia) and deadAir (US and EU), both linked from girledm.com/store.

Prices

Tour tees: A$45 (about US$30) for either the I Love My Computer white tee or the plain Ninajirachi tee. CD: A$20 (about US$13). Vinyl: $30 on the US store, sold out. Plushie keychain: $30, sold out. No hoodie, poster or hat listings exist at the time of writing.

The Strategy

Buy online. Tees have sold out and been restocked on the web store before (she announced a girl EDM tee restock and a new thong in September 2024), while the vinyl and the plushie sold out online and hadn't come back by September 2026. Nobody has reported a distinctive venue table, a line pattern or a show-only item, so don't plan your night around the merch stand.

A January 2024 headline show in LA with an all-female lineup (DJ_Dave, MGNA Crrrta, Izzy Camina) produced the "girl EDM" name as a backstage joke that stuck: "it felt like we had infiltrated something that stereotypically wouldn't be for us and made it our own." Frequently Asked Questions

A Y2K-themed rave that a DJ runs with the structure of an album show. She plays from CDJs and a laptop in front of a wall of Windows XP pop-ups, scrolling code and 3D cats in headphones, a touring VJ cues the visuals to every track, and she spends half the night off the decks working the crowd. The crowd is Gen Z and the venues on the current run are theatres and ballrooms with multi-night stands.

Headline shows run 1h 10m to 1h 30m, based on setlist.fm attendee logs from her March 2026 UK dates and reviews of the July 2026 Enmore and Forum shows. Festival slots are shorter, from 50 minutes to about an hour, and her support sets for Porter Robinson ran 40 minutes.

She DJs. The set is CDJs, a laptop and edited versions of her own songs, with no live vocals; she has said she'd like to add them once she has proper rehearsal time. What you hear from the stage is her production, re-edited so every track works as a party record, and the heavy "Berghain" remix is her own flip.
