What Is It Like to See Honey Revenge Live?
A pop-rock show where the band refuses to carry on until the floor forms a conga line, two "PE instructors" once tallied 24 crowd surfers in a single song, and Devin Papadol ends up dancing in the pit.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1Learn the conga.
When "Favorite Song" comes round, the band stops and waits for the room to form a conga line, balcony included. See [Fan Culture](#fan-culture-and-traditions).
- 2Know the "Habitual" chorus.
It's eight words, the crowd sings it, and Papadol will walk newcomers through it if they don't know it.
- 3Surfing is encouraged.
First-timers included. In Southampton in 2024, Papadol stopped to call out security because surfers weren't being helped over the barrier.
- 4Stand where you can see Devin.
She leaves the stage and dances in the crowd, usually on "Worst Apology."
- 5Wear purple.
Purple and the band's bee motif are the closest thing to a fan uniform. Someone came to the Electric Ballroom show in a full bee onesie.
- 6Going alone?
The fan-run Discord keeps a tab for each show so you can find people to go with.
- 7Expect one heavy moment.
On the 2025 headline run a [Knocked Loose](/artists/knocked-loose) cover, "Counting Worms," turned a dance floor into a proper mosh pit.
- 8Openers this fall: Hunny and Broadside,
on every date, with Dead Poet Society sharing top billing.

What It's Actually Like
Crowd Surfers Are Invited, First-Timers Too
Bodies go over your head all night, and the band actively wants them there. At their first US headline show, in an Orlando room with no barrier in November 2023, fans who had never been to a concert surfed to the front and then just stayed on the stage instead of jumping back off (Papadol to Ticketmaster Discover). At the barricade-less Le Poisson Rouge in June 2025, surfers kept landing straight on the stage (The Concert Chronicles). At the Belasco in Los Angeles on June 20, 2026, two "PE instructors" walked on mid-song and counted: 24 surfers before it ended, according to a fan write-up on The Indy Review. The band watches out for them, too. Supporting Stand Atlantic in Southampton in September 2024, Papadol called out security a couple of songs in because nobody was helping surfers down (Squareone).
Devin Ends Up in the Pit
Papadol doesn't stay up there. At The Vic in Chicago in June 2025 she went into the crowd and danced with fans during "Worst Apology" (Good Guys Press). At Dynamo in Eindhoven on January 23, 2026, the same song had her in the mosh pit (Melomaniacs), and at Electric Ballroom in Camden a week later she jumped down to sing with the front rows (Loud Women). On stage she dances through every instrumental gap and throws vertical leg kicks, and guitarist Donny Lloyd matched her with a high kick on a beat drop at the Belasco. Papadol calls the band the "choir students" of a lineup because the movement is choreographed and coordinated (WMSC).
“We encouraged first-time crowd surfers to try it, and it was so sweet.”
"Habitual" Is the Singalong, and She'll Teach You
The song everybody shouts is "Habitual." At Delmar Hall on June 5, 2025, the room sang its eight-word chorus back (The Arts STL), and in Eindhoven in January 2026 Papadol stopped to teach the lyrics to newer fans before handing it over to them (Melomaniacs). The Mezzic reviewer at the Uptown Theater Summer School stop in July 2026 heard lots of people shouting along to it and took that as proof the band had grown in the past nine months (Mezzic). If you only learn one song beforehand, make it this one.
"Airhead" Is the Last Thing You'll Hear
Papadol calls "Airhead" the band's biggest song, which is a little funny since it never got a music video (WMSC). It closes the set: after "Distracted" at a Stand Atlantic support in September 2024 (Taped Magazine), as the 19th and final song at The Beacham in Orlando in June 2025 (100% Rock), as the main-set closer at The Vic, at the end of the co-headline set in Eindhoven, and right after "Are You Impressed?" at the Uptown Theater in July 2026 (Mezzic). The one exception we found was The Foundry back in August 2023, when it opened the set instead. Don't leave before it.
Devin Will Tell You About Her Dad
The quiet stretch of a headline set is Papadol talking about losing her father. At The Beacham she spoke about his death and how it fed into the songs (100% Rock). At The Vic, in his home city, one of his close friends was standing in the crowd, and the reviewer said the then-unreleased "Loving and Losing" landed harder for it (Good Guys Press). At Delmar Hall she and Lloyd told the room how the band started and asked everyone to hold on to the people they love. It's short, and the pit goes still for it.
Who's Standing Next to You
The band says outright that the room is meant to feel safe. "It's very apparent you're not seeing a bunch of straight white guys up there," Lloyd told Kerrang in 2023, and Papadol describes Honey Revenge as a queer band made up of strong women (WMSC). "You see people at our shows, and you can just tell they're Honey Revenge fans by looking at them," Papadol told the same interview. Crowds know the words even where they shouldn't: at Riot Fest in September 2025, Lloyd reckoned about 80 percent of a festival crowd knew "Distracted" (The Luna Collective). The Loveless support show at The Studio at the Factory in 2023 drew an all-ages room (mxdwn).
Dead Poet Society x Honey Revenge Co-Headline Tour (2026)
Twenty-four US dates from October 23 to November 25, sharing the top of the bill with Dead Poet Society and finishing in Anaheim (Metal Injection; The Concert Chronicles). It's mostly House of Blues rooms and theatres like the Ogden, Roseland and Concord Music Hall, which puts it in the same size of room as the band's 2025 headline run.
Who's on the Bill
Hunny and Broadside open every date (Antimusic). No announcement says which co-headliner plays last, and with the tour starting October 23, no setlist exists yet. The 2027 European dates announced at the same time are Dead Poet Society's own and don't list Honey Revenge.
What They'll Probably Play
This is the first tour since Loving and Losing, the second album, came out on September 18, 2026 (Melodic Magazine). A lot of it has already been road-tested: "Risk" has opened sets since May 2025, "Jealousy Monster," "Concentrate" and the title track were played on the 2025 headline run before release, "Hot Commodity" was introduced in Eindhoven as a club song, and "Sunday Scaries" was a late-set highlight at the Uptown Theater. Expect those alongside the Retrovision songs above.
Tickets and Timing
Tickets for the November 5 show at Warsaw started at $49 on Ticketmaster, with a 6pm show time listed for a four-band bill (JamBase). Don't bank on the 19 to 20 songs of the 2025 solo headline run: the January 2026 co-headline set in Eindhoven was seven songs (Melomaniacs).

Merch
Honey Revenge merch intel is thin. The official web store lists tees and a hoodie as of October 2026: tees: $40, including "Sunday Scaries," "Superstitious" in lavender and two "Trust Issues" designs. Hoodies: $80 for the "Kitty" pullover. Loving and Losing on "Poison Apple" splatter vinyl is $30 (honeyrevenge.com). Whether the tour table carries the same designs isn't documented. On the 2025 headline run the VIP package included limited-edition merch along with a meet-and-greet and early entry (The Concert Chronicles); the items themselves weren't described. No fan verdict on quality turned up.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a pop-rock show built on crowd participation, with a frontwoman who choreographs the room and the biggest songs saved for the end. There's also a quiet patch where Papadol talks about her late father.
About an hour. Papadol gave that figure for the 2026 Summer School headline set (Melodic), and co-headline sets have run shorter, around 50 minutes in Eindhoven.
Yes, and reviewers keep saying the support sets punch above their slot. Taped Magazine called a 2024 opening set "headline worthy," and Squareone said the band "set the standard for the rest of the night" in Southampton.
Yes, if you want a show that pulls you in rather than one you watch. You'll be asked to move, sing and dance, in clubs and theatres rather than arenas, and the Chicago date on the 2025 run was announced for Bottom Lounge before selling out The Vic.
"Habitual," "Favorite Song," "Are You Impressed?" and "Airhead" are the four the room waits for. "Rerun" and "Distracted" get sung back too, and "Fight or Flight" drew a big reaction as a deeper cut at The Opera House in 2025.
A duo: singer Devin Papadol and guitarist Donovan "Donny" Lloyd, who started the band during the 2020 lockdowns and are signed to Thriller Records. Live they play with a touring bassist and drummer, Matt Arsenault on the drums.
It's a shared bill. In 2025 the band headlined alone and played every song they had; this time Dead Poet Society share the top slot, with two openers, and there's a whole new album to fit in.
Sometimes. The 2025 headline tour sold VIP packages with a meet-and-greet and early entry, while the 2026 Summer School tour skipped VIP entirely so fans could meet the bands without paying extra (WMSC).
