Concert Collection: Drew Haege

The opening act, Cooling Prongs, was in the middle of playing what some might call music-ish when all of a sudden he put on rubber gloves. Then, he pulled out a medical imaging scope and put it inside his nether regions. All the while there’s a video image on a 20x20 foot projection screen of the entire experience. He was essentially creating odd audio sounds while giving himself an impromptu colonoscopy. Freakish and disgusting in my opinion.

Most of the audience members were dressed oddly with women in bikinis and fish net stockings, and a scarf around their necks. Men were doing everything from no shirt with jeans, to two guys in mosh pit wearing full dress suits just like Zed’s Dead sported during the show. The overwhelming aspect of the audience was they were having a very good time and likely taking several types of elicit drugs.

Just like the first time I saw Jesse Welles, he just has an amazing awareness of the room and command over his guitar…it’s awe inspiring.

The age range of people in attendance was very diverse. The opening acts didn’t seem to match the vibe of Prof.

How Jack White played non-stop for the entire show. The drummer, Daru Jones, is phenomenal.

This venue is so small, yet Jesse Welles message is so big. My wife and I felt like we were witnessing the breakthrough of a once in a lifetime musical talent.

Nathaniel Rateliff is an amazing performer.

Show was good, I was too tired from a long week to truly enjoy it

Weather was perfect, even a slight breeze. We enjoyed every moment.

It was kinda hard to hear the nuances

My son didn’t get his homework done and we didn’t let him come to this show. Instead my daughter came, which was still good. Just felt bad that my teenage son was unable to see an artist he really respected.

It was incredible how skilled a musician he is, especially to play drums and guitar while singing! The stage scene was very cool also.

How amazing the venue was. My buddy Todd was able to get some great seats courtesy of his wife. It’s also the first time I smoked weed at a concert.

Feeling pretty cool and alternative taking my girlfriend to see this band.
