What Is It Like to See Hollywood Undead Live?
Five singers and no frontman, a circle pit that opens on the first chord, and a fan from the crowd handed a guitar mid-set. Bring the homemade mask. The crowd will be wearing theirs.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1Play guitar? Get to the front
Before "Comin' In Hot" the band asks who in the room plays and brings someone up. Kids get picked too. The full story is under [Fan Culture](#fan-culture-and-traditions).
- 2On this tour, they're not last
Taste of Chaos 2026 is a co-headline. Hollywood Undead play fourth, then In This Moment close the night.
- 3Openers
I See Stars, Vana and Melrose Avenue open every Taste of Chaos date.
- 4Pick your spot by what you want
The middle of the floor turns into a circle pit from song one. If you came to sing, stand at the sides.
- 5Dress as your favourite member
Homemade masks, Charlie Scene bandanas, hoodies and sunglasses are the uniform here, and nobody will look twice.
- 6Learn the "Bullet" verse
The band goes acoustic and hands the verse to the room.

What It's Actually Like
Five Singers, No Frontman, and Nobody Keeps the Same Instrument
There's no single person to watch. Every member raps or sings, and between songs guitars and basses change hands like it's a relay. At the Bottom Lounge in January 2013, Charlie Scene and Danny traded the electric guitar, Charlie switched to acoustic, and J-Dog moved between guitar, bass and keys, all while six people traded vocals (Unsung Melody). At the O2 Academy in Leeds in April 2019 the reviewer from The Moshville Times counted the band "changing instruments often" and covering nearly every inch of the stage. At Koko in January 2018 it was Johnny 3 Tears who thanked the fans (Trebuchet); in Leeds it was Funny Man dancing through "War Child" and waving a Union Jack at the end (The Moshville Times). The drummer behind them changes every few years, from Daren Pfeifer in 2013 to Matt Oloffson in 2019 and Anthony Ghazel in 2023, so don't get attached.
The Circle Pit Opens on the First Chord
This crowd doesn't warm up. At Terminal 5 in November 2023, a circle opened in the middle of the floor on the first chord of "CHAOS" and stayed open for nearly the whole set, according to The Concert Chronicles' front-row reviewer. In Leeds in 2019 there was a pit in almost every song. At Manchester Academy in January 2018 crowd surfers kept coming over the barrier into the photo pit (When The Horn Blows). At Rebel in May 2025 the band told the room that social media claims mosh pits are extinct had just been proved wrong (Music Scene Media). It isn't wall-to-wall chaos, though. At the Bottom Lounge in 2013 the pit was at the back during "Another Way Out" while front-row fans sang every verse (Unsung Melody).
“Hollywood Undead knows exactly how to turn the stage into a real party.”
The Masks Come Off Early, When They Come Out at All
The band built itself on stage names and goalie-style masks. Johnny 3 Tears told CityBeat in 2009 the point was to release music from an anonymous source, and J-Dog told Loudwire in 2011 they were "just something to do for our live show." At the masked shows we found reviewed, they didn't last long on stage. At the Bottom Lounge in 2013 the light-up masks (Johnny's blue mask with a lit "3," J-Dog's glowing orange eyes) came off before the third song (Unsung Melody). At Koko in Camden that January 2018 run they stayed on for the first few songs and no more (Trebuchet). By Leeds in 2019 it was sunglasses and hats, and Terminal 5 in 2023 and Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid in November 2024 were maskless too (The Concert Chronicles; MetalBere). New masks by prosthetic artist Jerry Constantine came back in the October 2024 "Hollywood Forever" video (Loudwire; Rock Sound), but we found no review confirming they're back on stage.
The Covers Are Party Songs, Not Metal Songs
When Hollywood Undead cover something, it's for a singalong, not a flex. At the Showbox in 2015 they played the Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic" and Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice" (Seattle Music Insider). Charlie Scene played a short acoustic "Rebel Yell" in Leeds in 2019 (The Moshville Times). Since late 2024 Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" has been a regular, with a short acoustic moment in Madrid that November and again at Rebel in 2025 (MetalBere; Music Scene Media). In Germany in June 2026 "Another Way Out" ran into a "Du hast" tease at Täubchenthal in Leipzig (setlist.fm). In Madrid they introduced "Everywhere I Go" as "the best party song."
Eight Albums In, the Spine of the Set Barely Moves
setlist.fm's attendee logs put "Undead" (889 shows), "Everywhere I Go" (861), "Comin' in Hot" (723), "Hear Me Now" (671) and "Bullet" (636) as their five most played songs. "Undead" is their 2008 debut single, and it has been in the set at nearly every show they've ever logged. At Hard Rock Live in Ottawa in summer 2026, a recording of it played as the band walked out, stopped dead, then the band kicked it in live and the room "went absolutely insane" (Hidden Beats, Matt Berard). Deep cuts aren't the draw here. The new songs are, plus the five you already know.
The Banter Comes Late and It's Laddish
Don't expect a speech after song one. In Leeds in 2019 nobody addressed the crowd for the first six songs, until Danny broke the silence with "You guys are so f*cking cool!" (The Moshville Times). At Koko in 2018 the chat was jokey and included a jibe about the drummer's private habits (Trebuchet, Carl Byron Batson). The drummer's air-drum solo in Leeds got laughs. At the Bottom Lounge in 2013 members mentioned fans they recognised from earlier shows in that room's city and fist-bumped the front row all night (Unsung Melody).
Taste of Chaos 2026 (2026)
A revived Taste of Chaos package, co-headlined with In This Moment: 23 US dates from September 22 to October 26 2026, mostly ballrooms and theaters, with I See Stars, Vana and Melrose Avenue opening (Loudwire, Chad Childers).
You're Out Before In This Moment Start
Hollywood Undead play fourth on this bill, not last. At the Aragon Ballroom on October 11 2026 the attendee-logged times were Melrose Avenue at 5:30pm, Vana at 6:15pm, I See Stars at 7pm, Hollywood Undead at 8pm and In This Moment at 9:35pm (setlist.fm). At the Fillmore Auditorium on October 19, doors were 4:30pm and they went on at the scheduled 8pm. If you only came for one band, the second half of the night is optional. If you love both, it's a long one.
The Set Leans on the Sumerian Singles
On this tour the Sumerian Records singles carry the middle of the show: "1x1" (the one with the Slayer "Raining Blood" riff), "SAVIOR," "Hollywood Forever" and "Feels Like Home" all play nightly alongside "Black Dahlia" (setlist.fm; Blabbermouth). The Aragon show opened on Carl Orff's "O Fortuna" from tape, then "Undead." The Fillmore Auditorium and The Complex in Salt Lake City added "Renegade" and "Another Way Out" (setlist.fm). There's no encore break. "Everywhere I Go" ends it.
“Hollywood Undead knows exactly how to turn the stage into a real party.”
Who Opens, and When
All three support acts are billed for every date (Loudwire). On the Aragon timings Melrose Avenue opened the doors, Vana followed, and I See Stars played the slot directly before Hollywood Undead.
What Comes After Anaheim
The tour finishes at House of Blues Anaheim on October 26. Next is a 24-date EU/UK headline run from January 27 to February 28 2027, from 013 in Tilburg to O2 Academy Leeds, with UK nights at the O2 Forum Kentish Town and Manchester Academy (Blabbermouth). No support has been announced. A new album is due on Sumerian in early 2027, and Johnny 3 Tears has said the recent singles won't be on it, so expect the 2027 set to change.

What's Exclusive
Tour VIP shirts exist: a Tech N9ne and Hollywood Undead tour VIP T-shirt later turned up in Strange Music's online clearance section. The 2025 Hollywood & N9NE run sold an "Undead Army" VIP merch package as its own tier (SCNFDM). We found no city-specific posters or tour-only drops.
The Strategy
Most designs are on the official store, and the band also runs separate EU, UK and AU stores. Even a tour VIP tee resurfaced online at clearance later, so missing the booth isn't the end of the world. We found no fan reports on what sells out at shows.

Hardbeat called the band "masters of their craft," and almost nobody left before the band was off stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a rap-rock party where five vocalists share the mic and swap guitars and basses between songs. The set mixes the songs fans have shouted since 2008 with singalong covers like "Sweet Caroline." The details are in [What It's Actually Like](#what-its-actually-like).
Hollywood Undead play for 1h to 1h 30m, usually 12 to 18 songs. Co-headline and support slots sit at the short end; their own headline shows run longer.
Yes. At Brixton in 2014 Soundscape Magazine found the rappers' lines flawless and every member strong live, and Trebuchet called them "a class act and one best seen live" after Koko in 2018. A band with this many vocalists could easily sound messy, and reviewers keep saying it doesn't.
Yes, if you want a loud, loose singalong more than musicianship. Hidden Beats called the Ottawa show in 2026 "easily the best concert of the summer." If you want long jams or deep cuts, it's the wrong band: the set is built around the same five old songs plus the newest singles.
"Undead," "Everywhere I Go," "Comin' In Hot," "Hear Me Now" and "Bullet" are the ones the whole room knows, as covered in [What It's Actually Like](#what-its-actually-like).
The biggest change is the setlist: the Sumerian singles now fill the middle of the show, where 2025 leaned on "Lion," "Levitate" and a medley of older songs (setlist.fm). The 2025 run also had a "Sweet Caroline" singalong that the Taste of Chaos setlists don't list.
Yes, as paid VIP. On the 2025 tour the HU4L package added a meet and greet, a photo with the band and a signed poster on top of the merch tier; Taste of Chaos 2026 VIP went on sale with the June 1 pre-sale. We found no fan reviews saying whether it's worth the money.
Not reliably on stage. They played maskless from 2019 through at least November 2024, then brought new masks back in the "Hollywood Forever" video, and no 2026 review we found confirms them on stage. Fans still wear their own.
