What Is It Like to See Black Veil Brides Live?
Ten to fifteen songs, Andy Biersack prowling every inch of the stage like he is trying to wear a hole through it, the entire room screaming "Knives and Pens" at a volume that drowns the PA, and a pit full of people who moshed together as teenagers and still pick each other up.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1Know "Knives and Pens" and "Fallen Angels."
These are the two songs the entire room sings at maximum volume. They have been played at 598 and 555 shows respectively across the band's career. The crowd takes over completely. Know every word.
- 2The pit is active but self-policing.
Moshing opens up during heavier songs like "I Am Bulletproof," "Perfect Weapon," and "Coffin." The BVB pit is protective: people pick each other up, check on each other, and look out for newcomers. If you are on the floor, expect physical energy.
- 3From Ashes to New, TX2, and As December Falls open.
Three support acts play before Black Veil Brides on the 2026 North American tour.
- 4CC's drum solo is a real highlight.
Christian "CC" Coma plays an extended drum solo at most shows. He has done it 176 times across the band's career. It is a genuine showcase of skill, not a bathroom-break moment.
- 5Learn the Vindicate singles.
The 2026 tour supports the new album Vindicate (out May 8). "Bleeders," "Hallelujah," and "Certainty" are already out and will be in the set alongside catalog staples.
- 6The "Rebel Yell" cover is a staple.
BVB regularly covers Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell." It has appeared at 218 shows. If you know it, you will have a moment.
- 7Andy works the crowd hard.
Biersack covers the entire stage, leans into the front rows, and engages every section of the venue. The physicality is intense and intentional.

What It's Actually Like
Andy Biersack Does Not Stand Still
The first thing you register is that Andy Biersack uses every square foot of the stage. He is not a plant-and-sing frontman. He prowls, leans over the barricade, points into specific sections, and delivers vocals with his whole body. He has famously broken three ribs on stage at one show and smashed his nose falling off a drum riser at another. This is not recklessness. It is a frontman who treats theater-sized rooms like arenas and performs accordingly. At the Bleeders Tour opener in San Francisco (April 2024), Riff Magazine described the show as "expertly paced" with "arena-sized lighting and staging" despite the theater-sized room. You cannot look away from him.
The Room Screams "Knives and Pens" Louder Than the PA
When "Knives and Pens" starts, you stop hearing the speakers and start hearing the crowd. The song has been played at 598 of the band's 867 career shows, and the audience knows it at a cellular level. "Fallen Angels" gets the same treatment (555 performances). These are not gentle singalongs. They are full-throated, full-volume moments where the band could stop playing and the song would continue at roughly the same decibel level. First-timers are often caught off guard by how loud the crowd gets.
“This record is rooted in the feelings of revenge and vindication. These are emotions that can either push us forward or hold us back.”
The Pit Moshed Together as Teenagers
The BVB fanbase (the "BVB Army") has been together for over fifteen years. Many of the people in the pit first moshed to these songs when they were fourteen. The physical energy is real: circles open during "I Am Bulletproof," "Perfect Weapon," and "Coffin." But the culture is protective. Fans consistently describe the pit as self-policing. People pick each other up, check on anyone who goes down, and create space for smaller fans. The mosh is intense but the vibe is familial. You are not in a pit with strangers. You are in a pit with people who have been in this pit for a decade.
CC Coma's Drum Solo Is Not a Bathroom Break
Christian "CC" Coma's extended drum solo appears at most headline shows (176 documented performances). It is a genuine technical showcase. The crowd watches, cheers specific fills, and treats it as a highlight. Jinxx also plays piano solos at select shows. The band gives their instrumentalists room to shine, which is part of what separates a BVB show from a pure frontman vehicle.
North American Tour (2026)
24 cities. April 25 (Riverside, CA) through May 30 (Worcester, MA). Theaters and mid-size venues. In support of Vindicate (seventh studio album, May 8, 2026 via Spinefarm). Plus festival appearances at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville.
The Theater-Sized Tour
The 2026 run plays Fillmores, Houses of Blues, and comparable rooms in the 1,500-3,000 capacity range. Key stops include The Tabernacle in Atlanta (May 8), The Fillmore in Philadelphia, The Fillmore in Detroit, Ramova Theatre in Chicago, and Palladium Times Square in New York (May 28). These are rooms where Andy Biersack's stage presence fills every corner and the crowd's volume is concentrated. If you have only seen BVB at festivals where the sound dissipates, the theater experience is a different animal.
Vindicate in the Set
The album drops May 8, mid-tour. Pre-release singles "Bleeders" (already a live staple with 70 performances), "Hallelujah," and "Certainty" will share the setlist with catalog staples. Recent headline sets run 10-15 songs, drawing from We Stitch These Wounds, Set the World on Fire, Wretched and Divine, and The Phantom Tomorrow alongside the new material.
Three Deep Support Acts
From Ashes to New, TX2, and As December Falls open. Three support acts before the headliner means a longer event overall. Plan accordingly for a full evening.
European Festival Run
After the North American tour, BVB heads to Europe for the "Vindicatour," including Impericon Festival 2026, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, and Nova Rock.
