For most of the main set she stands on a raised platform behind a cross-shaped microphone stand, lit only from behind, half-swallowed by green fog and Spanish moss hanging from the rafters. When the When the Horn Blows reviewer covered the October 2025 Eventim Apollo run, the line that stuck was that "hidden behind spotlights and shadows she remained hidden throughout much of the set." That is the design. The Quietus called it "a rejection of the typical pop show in favour of an avant-garde southern gothic experience" after the same London run. You came to see Hayden Anhedönia. The Perverts Drone Sections Are the Show
Since the January 2025 Perverts EP, every headlining set is structured around long ambient passages in the middle. These are not stage-clear breaks. They are what the show is. The 55-minute "Perverts Meditation" piece she aired on NTS Radio in January 2025 is the same vocabulary you will hear live. The Stage Is a Graveyard
Architect-turned-stage-designer Oli Colman built the visual world for this tour cycle. Branches and Spanish moss hang from the rafters, fog covers the floor for nearly the entire show, and the lighting washes everything in toxic green and amber. At Coachella 2026 the same design extended into a "graveyard of American industry" (Dazed, April 2026): rust-covered car parts, overgrown vines, real grass that came from leftover Bad Bunny Super Bowl staging, an Alabama license plate hidden in the grass, and Hayden's own shoes hung over fake powerlines as easter eggs from previous performances. The cross-shaped microphone stand at center is the signature shot of this cycle. It will probably not survive the next album. If it matters, see this tour.
