I wandered around kind of awkwardly and tried to join my "circle" of friends chatting under a tree but pretty quickly left because Derek was there chatting up a girl. I found Amy and Jeff hanging in their VW van vibing so I sat with them and then drove to a new friend's house (Jorma) for a chill after-gathering.

I worked the gates alone pretty successfully, Polyrhythmics is more incredible live than I ever remember, every single time I see them. No lyrics are so refreshing. Jeff called it travel music which I liked.

“I was describing their music as "walking pace" and "spy music from the 70s, but the spy is side-gigging in a porno". Jeff described their sound as "travelling music" because of their lack of lyrics and ability to let your mind travel. I remember hearing Amy shout to the band while we were dancing, "I CELEBRATE THAT!" and it was super beautiful to hear.”
When I Left I Felt
Tired and emotionally less euphoric because of unrelated reasons (Derek), but also fulfilled from seeing friends and body movement.
