What Is It Like to See Jamie T Live?
Plastic pints arc over a packed floor, a shirtless fan belts the first line of "Salvador" before Jamie T can, and he dares the whole room to prove it can out-sing him.
What to Know Before You Go
- 1Learn "Salvador" properly
The crowd doesn't just sing along, it races him. Know the verses, not just the chorus.
- 2Your October show and your December show are different gigs
The October 2026 dates are Jamie on his own with a guitar, playing b-sides and reworked hits. The December run is the full band.
- 3Presales have come through the album
The December 2026 presale needed an album pre-order placed by 25 August, and the October acoustic tickets were sold only as album-and-ticket bundles. Watch jamie-t.com the next time a record is announced.
- 4Stay for the encore
The songs most people bought a ticket for, "Sheila," "Sticks 'N' Stones" and "Zombie," come after the break. Leaving to beat the queue for the exit means missing them.
- 5Pick your spot by how wet you want to get
Pits open in "The Man's Machine," "Rabbit Hole" and "Sticks 'N' Stones," and plastic pints fly in the big singalongs. The sides stay drier.
- 6Watch for a Maccabee
Hugo White of The Maccabees, who produced *The Theory of Whatever*, has walked on for "Sticks 'N' Stones" at the last two big [London](/cities/london) headline shows.
- 7Opener
No support act had been announced for the December 2026 dates as of late September. Recent supports were 86TVS in 2022 and IDLES, Kojey Radical, Biig Piig, Hak Baker and Willie J Healey at the 2023 park show.
- 8Bring your chant voice
"Jamie, Jamie, Jamie f***ing T" comes up before the encore. He says he hears it in his sleep.

What It's Actually Like
You Will Get Beer on You
A Jamie T floor is loud from the first bar and physical all night. At his comeback club show on 31 July 2014, Vice's Leonie Cooper watched full plastic pint glasses fly the moment "So Lonely Was The Ballad" kicked in, the pit swirl and boys peel off their shirts. Eight years later a student reviewer at the November 2022 Scottish date counted "an excessive number of mosh pits" during "The Man's Machine" alone, and in August 2026 at the Scala, the King's Cross club he first played with a band, pits opened for "Rabbit Hole" with cups going up. At Brixton Academy in October 2016, one reviewer wrote that "not one person stood still" and "many a beer" went skyward. The noise is football-terrace, not festival-polite: a fan blogger at a November 2014 academy show compared the chanting to a football ground.
He Talks as If He's Down the Pub
The banter is short, grateful and very south London. He's from Wimbledon and wore a Wimbledon AFC shirt for his biggest headline show. At the Glastonbury John Peel Stage on 26 June 2010, NME reported that he appointed a fan "party officer," charged with arresting anyone looking sad. Back at a November 2014 academy show after four years away, he walked on around 9 pm with "It's good to be back, it's been a long time since I've been in this venue." At Alexandra Palace in November 2022, NME found him settling in with an acoustic guitar, eyes peering out from under a black cap, more pub regular than rock star. At the Scala in August 2026 he blamed the crowd's "ooh! Aah!" for the song stuck in his head and said, "It's lovely to see you all back, and it's lovely to be back." Don't expect speeches. Expect a man who seems faintly amazed you're all still here.
“We've been doing this for 20 years and we've done it the right way. Thanks for sticking with us.”
The Encore Is Where the Hits Are
The setlist barely moves, and the order is the point. "If You Got the Money" ends the main set (10 of 11 shows on the 2022 tour, per setlist.fm), then the encore runs "Back in the Game," "Sheila," "Sticks 'N' Stones" and "Zombie." Those last four sit near the top of setlist.fm's all-time play counts, and "Zombie" closed every analysed show in 2022 and 2024. The Mancunion's reviewer at a November 2022 show noticed the same thing from the floor: the three biggest songs were saved until after the break. New songs get slotted into the main set instead. At the Scala on 20 August 2026 "Waist 36" Leg 32"" and "Thank You" debuted mid-set and "3310" opened the encore. A setlist.fm attendee also logged that "Salvador" had to be restarted after Jamie launched straight into the third verse.
One Song Alone, and the Odd Stall
Somewhere in the middle the band leaves him to it. "Emily's Heart" has been his solo acoustic moment on at least two tours: at a November 2014 academy show a fan blogger heard the room turn into "a harmonized choir," and he played it alone again on 30 June 2023. At Brixton in October 2016 "Sign Of The Times" got the same treatment, just him and "dancing shadows" under minimal light. The flip side is real, and reviewers say so. At Alexandra Palace in 2022 NME's Sophie Williams flagged "lengthy delays as gear is changed over" and, at points, "Colossal silence." If you're used to wall-to-wall arena pacing, the gaps will feel long.
A Maccabee Might Walk On
Hugo White of The Maccabees produced The Theory of Whatever, and he keeps turning up on stage. He played on "Sticks 'N' Stones" at Glastonbury in 2022, again at Finsbury Park on 30 June 2023 in front of a crowd NME put at 40,000, and on both "Sticks 'N' Stones" and "Zombie" at the Scala in August 2026. It runs both ways: The Maccabees brought Jamie out for "Sticks 'N' Stones" at their own east London headline set on 24 August 2025.
Ghosts UK Tour (2026)
A nine-date solo acoustic run from 9 October, then ten full-band dates from 6 to 20 December, including two nights at Olympia in London and an arena date at Co-op Live. It's his first proper headline tour in four years, supporting Ghosts (100 Days of Morning), out 9 October on Polydor.
October Is Just Him and a Guitar
The October dates start in Dundee and run through Edinburgh, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Kingston, Oxford and Southampton among others, in rooms far smaller than the December venues. Jamie promised b-sides, songs he's "never played before" and reimagined versions of the hits. Tickets were sold only as album-and-ticket bundles from jamie-t.com on 17 September 2026, and LADbible reported most of the run had sold out. If you want to hear "Salvador" the way you know it, this isn't that show. If you want the deep cuts, it is.
The Warm-Up Shows Gave the Plan Away
Two August 2026 shows previewed the December set. At the Scala on 20 August, sold out within minutes of a last-minute announcement, he opened with "Hippodrome," debuted three new songs and brought White out for the closing pair, with the crowd chanting his name in and out. Eight days later he opened Reading Festival's new main stage, The Grid, with a surprise set timed to exactly 33 minutes and 10 seconds, a nod to the new single "3310." He told the crowd, "I felt like Bono out here." Expect "Hippodrome" up top, new songs threaded through the main set, and the same locked encore.
Tickets, Extra Nights and What's Left
General admission ran from £43 to £78 (about $58 to $105), with VIP and hospitality packages up to £99 (about $134), per LADbible. The presale on 26 August required an album pre-order; general sale followed on 28 August. Demand added second nights in three cities, London among them, and by late September several December dates were sold out, with resale listings on StubHub and Viagogo.

Jamie T crowd traditions
Three documented rituals. One need you to bring something. The other two happen to you.
Bring something
Beating Him to "Salvador"
PermanentThe crowd sings "Salvador" at Jamie, and at least once started before he did; know the verses, not just the chorus.
Just show up
The "Zombie" Hold
PermanentDuring "Zombie," Jamie stalls before the last chorus to wind the room up before it drops.
Chest-Thumping "Sheila"
Permanent"Sheila" is the loudest singalong of the night, delivered with hands on hearts like an anthem.

Merch
The official store at shop.jamie-t.com carries the Ghosts-era shirts on pre-order ahead of the tour, so the new designs aren't venue-only. Ghosts-era tees: £30 ($40), in "Plagiarist" and "Status Symbol" designs. The "F*cking Croissant" white T-shirt: £20 ($27). We found no reliable fan verdicts on quality or on venue-stand queues and exclusives, so we're not guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a rowdy indie singalong with pits, flying plastic pints and a crowd that treats "Sheila" like a national anthem. The songs everyone came for are saved for a four-song encore, and the night ends on "Zombie." Between the loud bits he'll play one song completely alone.
His headline sets run 1h 25m to 1h 35m. Festival slots are shorter; his surprise 2026 Reading set lasted exactly 33 minutes and 10 seconds on purpose.
Mostly the songs you know, in a fairly fixed order, with new material slotted into the main set. The exception is the October 2026 acoustic run, where he promised b-sides and songs he has never played live.
Both, depending on the date. December 2026 is the full band; the October 2026 album-launch shows are him alone with a guitar. Full-band nights have often included one solo acoustic song, such as "Emily's Heart."
Yes, if you want to shout lyrics with a few thousand people who grew up on them. Fan reviewers on Bandsintown summed up the 2022 and 2023 London shows as "Just awesome every time!" and "F*****g amazing." If you need slick pacing, NME's complaint about long changeovers at Ally Pally is worth knowing.
"Sheila," "Sticks 'N' Stones," "Zombie," "Salvador" and "If You Got the Money" are the ones the room waits for, and they're also his most-played songs on setlist.fm. "The Man's Machine" and "Rabbit Hole" are where the pits open.
The rooms got bigger, and the band changed. He toured his first two records with The Pacemakers in clubs, returned in 2014 with a new, younger band, and has since played Alexandra Palace, a 40,000-strong park show and now an arena date. "Sheila" and "If You Got the Money" date from his 2007 debut and still anchor the set.
No opener had been announced for the December dates as of late September 2026, and the October shows are solo. Past supports include Slaves in 2014, 86TVS in 2022, and IDLES at the 2023 park show.
